Paleo Eating

I have been slowly cutting certain things out of my diet moving towards this paleo diet…i thought it would be really hard but in fact i feel really good now! Does anyone here have experience with a paleo diet? What are your thoughts? It seems so logical!

I've been doing it (well, a slightly modified version of it) for about 4 years now, and it's been very successful for keeping my BG in line. There have been articles touting it as not being good long-term, but since this has only taken hold since the 80's there's no real science behind that.
If you follow the diet strictly, there is a chance you can "over-protein", and depending on age and other factors, you may end up missing some vitamins and minerals your body has been used to getting. All in all though, if you get frequent check-ups/bloodwork, and you are fairly in-tune with your health, it really is a good plan.

Like controlled I had to look the diet up..I would be interested how you make out with it..Please keep us updated on your results

I wasn't familiar with the specifics of that diet. Having just looked it up, it appears to be interesting. By and large, it is my understanding of what is recommended for this condition. If someone decided to follow a healthy diet, it would look pretty much like this no matter what you call it. The only thing I noticed were a few references that a Paleo Diet can "reverse" or "cure" Type 2, which of course it can't.

Someone can maintain their BG at "normal" levels for prolonged periods and still have to follow the dietary and/or pharmaceutical guidelines for diabetes (I have).

It will interesting reading others who have use this diet and if not, why not.
