When trying to Diet Monitor your Body Clock

I have been on Jenny Craig and other diets over the years and it is still hard to loose weight unless you listen to you Body Clock. Diabetics as well as everyone has a alarm inside you. I am type 2 diabetic and I have learned things from dieting over the years, like liquid diets, protien diets and most diets are not healthy for you. Jenny Craig gave me a foundation for portion size yes, but if you think you can live on one diet all your life your wrong. Our bodies will only put up with it for so long. Sure you will loose weight but when your body gets fed up it will let you know you are starving and you will feel the need to eat and eat to satisfy the hunger and then you gain it all back and usually much more.

I will tell you a few things I found out that will help you I hope, it is because of the diabeties and the fact that I go hypoglycemic allot I found the Body Clock. Take note each day for a week the times your body makes you feel hungry. My time slots are the same each day.
Breakfast is usually when I wake around 8:00 am to 8:30 am
Snack is usually 10:00 am to 10:30 am
Lunch is around 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm
Snack again at 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm
Dinner around 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm

If you listen to your body you will find these your times are very simular and you need to eat then or feel sick.

Great advice! I use Weight Watchers, no special food to buy and I can eat anything I want as long as I use portion control and how often I eat that particular food. I love it. You are so right about eating on a schedule, I have to do that too. I can't snack at all between meals or I am higher than I like at my next BS reading. I have to eat a night time snack around 9pm too. Do you eat a night time snack? I have to or my numbers are so high the next morning!

Yes I do eat a snack at night to take my medication or I get stomach pain. I usually choose a vanilla yogurt lite. I pretty much quit Jenny Craig because I wanted to make myself accountable. I had lost 50 pounds 2 years ago on JC but then I felt something was wrong health wise and ended up having 4 major surgeries over the next year and then taking another year to recoop. I gained my weight back and then some. 2 of the surgeries were knee replacements. I did fine but it was a long time for me to recover and I developed severe diabetic neuropathy in the legs, bladder, arms , hands and feet. I already have fibromyalgia so walking was so difficult, not to mention the cronic pain. Now I am back and I want so much to try again to loose weight. I found goin back to JC was not working like it had before. I was so depressed about it and felt I am always going to be fat. Then I realized I have the mind set to do this, I know the right foods mostly so The only thing holding me from a healthier life was be. I needed to be held accountable by my self to myself and for myself. I started walking in the water and now this week I have walked the 2.1 miles around the block that I used to walk every day before. I have a harder time but I am determined to make it work.
