Is there a certain finger one should use when testing his/her B/G?
The reason I am asking this question, is this A/M I tested my B/G using the ring finger, and my reading was 150. I said that cannot be so I tested again using my index finger, and my reading was 120.
Now I am confuse on which finger to use?
I am sure that there are many answers, so give me your thinking on this subject.

My little fingers always give a much different reading than the others. And yes, I did test several fingers one right after another to determine this in my case. The little ones were at least 20 lower than the others, which were within a 1 to 3 number range of each other.

The readings you got had nothing to do with which finger you used..This is common to all meters..You can retest on any finger with in seconds of taking a reading and get 2 different BG numbers.. No meter is 100% accurate but they do give you a real good idea where your levels are at

I use a different finger for each test. I start in the morning with my index finger and work my way thru them during the day and then the next day I start on the other side of my index finger. That way I don't get sore finger tips. ;-)

I must agree that this is a very interesting question!

Never had a problem with different readings based on which finger was used, but I do know that testing on the thumb and pointer fingers can be rather painful due to those two fingers having more nerve endings in them compared to the others and should be avoided if possible…but to each his/her own!
