How Many of You...
… Think it's a bad idea to just drop your endo @ the spur of the moment? I just did, & although I'm not having any 2nd thoughts about doing it, I was just wondering what some of you guys think.

I dropped mine a couple years ago when it was my dietitian who figured out how to control my BG and not the endo. To me it was a waste to see the endo and the bucks it cost, when my primary doc was good about treating me.
I say trust your instincts & don't be afraid to do this. It's self advocacy & you need to stand up for yourself.
If you are feeling that your doctor is not good then change your treatment.
I couldn't agree with you more! You have to have faith in your doctor, otherwise, you won't do what he/she wants you to do. We must be our own best health advocate.
I agree with everyone, it is your money and if they aren't doing what you need, look elsewhere.
I have changed doctors on a few occasions. It's your health, and best to do what's right for you! If my instincts tell me to seek another doctor, that's exactly what I do…
I agree, with the other posters. If your doctor is not working for you, find another who will. If your under control with your diabetes, maybe your primary physcian can work with you until you find another Endo.
I go right along with what red flower lady just said..I make it clear to anyone, whether it be doctors, lawyers or who ever..If you are taking my money, you are working for me!!
So right, most don't see it that way when going to the drs and it still amazes me. I don't know if it is due to insurance covering most of their cost or what. But, you're still paying for the insurance.
Right you are..You are paying for that service any way you look at it
:)
If you are not happy with the endo, then it is your right and money to find one that will work with you. It is important to have a good dr/patient relationship to gain control of diabetes. Sometimes it may take a few changes to find one you like.
