This exercise is catching on. It is great to see how the DC family is supporting each other in the quest to be healthy…LOVE IT!!!!!! So we have at least 200 people watching the discussion each week, wow! This may be week six but it is never too late to jump in. Take that extra long route to the mailbox. Walk the dog, he's dying to go. Walk to the mall without spending a dime or lift those arms. It's all exercise. If you can walk it, flip it,, move it, shake it or roll it out then do and come on in, you'll be glad you did. We care. Whether it's 5 mins or 50, you're still appreciated.:D

keping up with 10-11miles walking each week. Seems like something happens that I don't get a full walk in on 1 day-usually Wed. That seems to be the day we go in to work early, or I need to run to Walmart, or get gas, whatever. Last Sat. (16th) I spent 4 hours throwing other peoples junk into big dumpsters at our neighborhood clean-up day. Then I came home and mowed for 1 1/2 hrs. I hurt all over for 2 days!!. Do ya think that made up for some shorter walks on Wed?

It's been a rough week trying to find a balance! I didn't do as well this week as I would have liked. Did some cardio some days, pulled some weeds other days! It's been crazyyyyyyy! I need STRUCTURE! This vacation time will end this weekend on to agendas again! This is good! Am I crazy or what?????? LOL!

I totally agree, almost a year into this D in August and am not feeling so set apart from the rest of the world! Struggles in life do remind us how much we need God and how little we can do without him!

Bad thing about next month is we will be celebrating the fourth. We have to be strong and keep up our will power during holidays. At least I do, because it would be so easy to make an excuse not to exercise. Good work out. Muscles are letting you know they were really worked. Just be carefull and don;t over do it. Especially be carefull during these hot summer months ahead of us. remember lets all stay well hydrated. God Bless TOmmy

Thanks Baker/Tommy. Thankfully the gym is air conditioned & in some areas there are extra fans. I want to overhaul & ressurrect my bicycle, that, I'll need to do early morning & in the evening when there is still enough daylight. I just signed up for my cities 1st Run/Jog/walk celebrating our 1st year as the Newest City called Jurupa Valley. It's the newest city in CA. It starts at 6 am, definately early enough. : ) The walk is Sat, June 30th & the actual anniversary is July 1st, 2012.

Okay people, I know its hot, whew!! calories have no respect for the heat, they climb on anyway. So let's grab our water, our towel and fruit and work through it. I am going to the mall to see if the mall walkers will let me in. They are a tough bunch and can MOVE, wow. See yah soon people :D

Be carefull in the heat. Mall ! Good idea, great place for a good walk and good way to beat the heat and still get your excercise in. Just don't be too hard on the Mall walkers,Take it easy on them and try not to make them look to bad.(: Lots of love and God Bless. Tommy

Looks like we are in for a hot summer. Be carefull in the heat and good idea to either workout early morning or later in the evening to help beat the heat. Good advice to us all , to look for ways through out the day were we could get exercise. Parking way out in the parking lot is a good way to accomplish this. Thanks and God Bless. Tommy

Well, here we are week six and we are all still kicking. Just completed my second night of this week with 2 miles on tread mill and 2 yesterday. Still haven't started or found a Zumba class yet. I Love taebo have VHS tapes that go all the way to 15 years ago and have newest DVDs! Taebo is challenging and fun, an idea is to add some background "moving" music since it is usually not incorporAted into videos! Best of luck!

Monday - cleaned house & did laundry
Had 6 month check up with my primary care, so didn't make it to Curves.
Tuesday - 30 minutes circuit training
2 hours yard work, including restocking our fire wood and pool cleaning and maintenance.
30 minutes swimming with my grandson. ;-)

Cleaning house makes me feel great I keep cherries in a bowl cuz the excessive walking around and up and down our stairs makes me drop sometimes or will have some string cheese. Not in a bad way though!

Yes all good, he changed my blood pressure meds because he suspects it is the cause of the cough I have been having. Don't have to go back for 1 year unless there are any problems. ;-)

I hear swimming is a great alternative to walking and you get to exercise all the muscles. I have had foot problems before. Nobody knows how it feels unless they have had it.OUCH. Hang in there long island girl.

Had a great vacation! Thanks! Monday completed a 50 minutes cardio kick boxing workout! Tuesday went to Endo for 3 month check up A1c 6.6 I just can't seem to bring it lower than this! The good thing is is that Dr. Is very happy with this and it has been able to stay this way for last 3 visits! Didn't workout Tuesday cuz mu Endo is 2 hours from home so had to take care of other appts :-( Today my fasting BG was 78 :-), am cleaning doing a lot of walking and planting outdoors! It is really hot here in NM expecting record highs throughout our state today!

I'm with you 100% about summer. It is surely not my favorite time of year also. Not just the heat , but seeing all these young shapely people running around in there shorts and staying cool and myself trying to keep covered up to hide my not so shapely body. But I am surely working on that. Maybe this time next summer I will be one of those shaprly people. Maybe not quite as young physically but young in mind and most definitly in better shape.
