when i go to look at the reciepes there is an advertisiment for humlar it goes all the way across the recipe and the only way you can get it off is ti join. i don't want to join i just want to look as recipes. as usual with these sites after you have been with them for awhile then you have to sign up for this and that. i already had to sign up with alliance magazaine.
thanks brenda

I am so sorry that happened. There was a glitch in the system that caused that ad problem breifly. It should be fixed now though. If you are still having that problem make sure to let me know so that we can address it asap.

I never get that either, when I looked it up it showed pictures of little green pellets that can be purchased. Didn't say what they are for. I'm confused about you getting it. Do you remember the recipe it shows up on? Do you just click the recipe link and then click on a posted recipe?

I'm confused as I don't get emails from this site to look at recipes. I think you are looking at something different then the recipes that are directly on this site or you signed up to something some how?

We do have a newsletter that you can get in your mail box. That does have ads in it as well as the articles and things they send with it. Is that what you are talking about?

I've visited the recipe section here many times and never had this problem. Could be pop-ups unrelated to any Alliance site? Do you encounter such pop-ups when visiting any other sites? "Humlar" is actually a town in Turkey when I googled it…

I will let the team know. It is probably just a mistake in the ad. You don't have to join anything to get anywhere on this site. Thanks for letting us know. Was it a specific recipe or on the main page of them?

what will you be doing Caroltoo I started donating my time to the Church three days a week from 9 T0 12. It gets me out of the house some, and I enjoy it. Jim usually lays back down and rest until I get home. Then we have the afternoons together. Good luck I hope it works out or you. I haven't been on her for a little while my husband had a mini stoke. It I get up and he is not feeling well then I stay home with him. Best of luck.

Gabby does Alliance have a magazine? Brenda mentioned having to sign up for one.

I am not aware of one, but since I am a member already, I am not sure what happens on the "joining" side anymore. I will ask some questions about it.

Be careful not to move the mouse over an advertisement anywhere of any kind as that can cause them to blow up to overtake the screen.
Try again and watch where the arrow goes. You do not have to click on it just move over it with some but not all! It sounds though, like you are still clicking away entering that section of the site and that opened it up so be careful with when you click and where the arrow is. Let me know if that helps! You can copy a recipe should you want. The previous information is false

Howdy Brenda!

I haven't had that happen yet and I have been on DC for over 3 yrs.

Look at the bottom of each page. There is a "feedback" link on the bottom of each page. Click that and complain about it there. Alternatively you could inbox one or more of the Administrators, and ask them about it.

I pray you can get this resolved!

Hi Brenda, don't you hate that? I don't know why sites allow that.

Linda they do this to keep you from copying and pasting the recipe to a word doc. They want you to join the site and once you go through a thousand question you get to view the item without the ad. It is just another form of getting information out of you.

People can copy recipes. I just did and have before. This site is for our use and benefit. Ads are how we pay for our free site

I got some kind of banner when I was looking at recipes. I no longer view recipes on this site as I get them in my email daily. However on some sites, there are lines drawn through recipes, templates, articles etc so you can't copy them.

I figured you would say that but other sites do not apply here and its important not to lead someone astray. I checked before I spoke because we are making lots of changes here

Hi … I've not had to sign up for anything. Do you think resetting your popup blocker might help? How are you doing the spring/summer? Carol

well right now i am in the hospital. we had little winter less spring and it is down right summer. if i want to do something outside i have to do it before the sun comes up and then the neighbors think i'm crazy because i am usually still in my pjs so when i go back in i can take a nap. it has been like 91 degrees with a humidty at 97%.
how have you been doing in the spring and summer. keep in touch ok.

Oh, that is HOT … 91 with 97% humidity. Yes, I'd stay indoors also.

Had a good spring once Wayne got over all his falls and other stuff from winter. He seems happier. I am to. I start work tomorrow. It's been much too long and I'm looking forward to it.
