I have occasional bouts of "brain fog" where I feel "dumber than a box of rocks" I know I have damaged my brain with all my diabetes related mishaps.

I do however wish to raise awareness of this issue among the folks who may be newly diagnosed about the importance of controlling one's Blood Glucose levels to keep one's cognative functions working well.

To your improved health

Maybe you spent to much time in Nebraska. Just imagine how much foggier you would be if you'd lived in Wyoming for any length of time. (Hey just expressing a little state rivalry from a native Coloradoan who did a little time in the neighbors to the North.)

It only would have a negating effect if you lived in an area of Ohio that gets as cold in Winter as Buckeye Lake or Monroeville. Or possibly spend a Winter night in Kankakee, IL or other location that a 24 oz bottle of Diet Coke can freeze solid in 4 minutes.

Thanks for sharing this, James. Keeping BGs under control within a tight range is very important since we know how harmful the extremes — high or low — can be.
