hello ,I found out i had type 2 diabetes in feb 2012 took metformin 1000mg a day and in april i was started on bydureon,a bit aggressive i thought but I'll try anything i have small children and want to prolong my life. I noticed i have no weight loss if anything i thing i have gained about 5 pounds, I go for walks, eat as healthy as i can my blood sugars are very low at times after working my night shift the have been as low as 60 asymtomatic to my surprise but after a meal they range from 95-137 usually. I dont like the nodule bumps after injection they itch and can be somewhat painful. they take forever to go away. Am i the only one having these issues??

Hi! I have been on Bydureon since mid February, and with great results. I have lost 26lbs now and my A1c went from 7.6 in mid Dec. to 6.1 in mid April, and my current 30 day average is 103.

It took me about 5-6 weeks for my BS levels to come down, not all were higher just a few that were like way to high for the foods I had eaten and the exercise I had. Perfectly normal for this to happen.

There is a group of us on Byetta and Diabetes on FaceBook if you are interested. You have to join to post but you can read all you want. Good luck!

I'm supposed to be on it as well, but I got the approval letter, and waited for the stuff to come-the doctor forgot to include the prescription!! I can't wait to be on it-I take to darn many pills now, and can get off them! And it's supposed to help you to lose weight, too, a nice side effect!
Once I get on it, I will also let everyone know how it goes :)
