When I started Met, it upset my stomach. My girlfriend told me to eat half my dinner, take the Met then finish dinner. I did this for two weeks with no problem at all. Now I take it at night about two hours after I eat. I have friends who had no problems at all when they first started it.

Medications can react differently for each person. When a new medication is introduced to your body, it takes time for the body to adjust to it. This is why dosages have to be adjusted and why some people simply cannot take medications. Not all diabetics who are prescribed Metformin can take it because of how their body reacts to it even with a dosage change.
