Quarterly checkup, BP was 106/60, said cholesterol was great at 116 but HDL was 25, LDL was fine. But the best news was A1C at 6.6, last time it was 7.4. My scale said I'd lost 18 pounds, doc scale stated 8 (bummer). Been taking victoza for three months and only lost 8 pounds. But sugars have been great, most time in the normal range of 80-115.

Garry You are doing good. Everything is going the right direction
Couldn't be prouder! 8 pounds is 28,000 calories. I hope you feel better
in the process. This is probably a silly question but have your tried seasoning Tofu?

Thanks, haven't done tofu cause it costs too much. Only have $50 a month to buy my food, so a lot of things I don't get because of cost.

Its two dollars a pound in my regular grocery store for plain. I understand all that money is accounted for. Have you looked into a food pantry? Try and find one that has refrigerated items. They are the ones that will give you dairy items and fresh veggies and fruit. You can specify being vegetarian and they will give you meatless items and pass that on to someone else. I survive because of my pantry so really understand

Closest pantry is thirty miles one way. It really isn't bad because I just don't eat much and the new med has my BG almost always in the safe zone. Thanks for the idea.

A thought would be on a day you are traveling that far for another purpose, I would call them and see if they could accommodate you. Otherwise you do not have the gas money! I combine trips myself out of shear need
