One of the best things about our community is the way members help each other by sharing news and information about diabetes. Now we’ve made some great changes to make it even easier!

Take a look at our redesigned News section. We’ve made it simple to sort through our entire news library in a flash to find exactly what’s interesting to you.

Also, you can help to make our News section even better by adding links to interesting articles that you find on other websites. We’ve made that quicker and easier too. Just click the “Find an interesting news article?” bar near the top of the News page. (And watch for our upcoming contest where you’ll have a chance to win a prize by submitting an article!)

Articles you submit must be:

• From a reputable news source or blog
• Relevant to the community
• Recent
• And should not be an advertisement

To ensure only the best gets to our members, our editors will check the submissions and remove any that don’t meet these standards.

The more that we all share what we learn, the better off we’ll be. Check out the revamped News section for yourself, then come back to this discussion and tell us what you think!

Ok, how do I delete a posting that wasn't done correctly? It says "undefined" and when clicking on it, the article doesn't come up. Will you automatically delete it for me or can I do it? Either way is ok, just needs to be deleted.

Thanks

I really like the new section that you have come with, it is easy to follow and has a lot of information on it.

This looks really cool and more user-friendly than the old model! I clicked on an article and after reading it, I clicked on a related article to the side of it and read it. It was so good, I wanted to post it here but there above it was a DC heading alerting me that Gabby had already shared it with the community—-a very helpful feature indeed :)

I love it! I was searching for a reputable vitamin & supplement source since not all are created equal! I found one, I think … but need to research it some more.

Oops, I just posted one on using it. I found it wonderfully easy and I love it. It saves me time, so I can spend time on here doing what I like...chatting with everyone.

I did have one issue with how one of the submissions started. I know it takes the first few lines from the article, but for some reason, there was a medical view note in the start. I didn't see it in the article...I flagged it so you guys can look at it and see why it is that way.

Other than that, I love it. Thanks!

tried posting to the new newsarticles section and I believe there are some bugs residing there yet.

I followed the instructions and tried to post and got an error message saying "Short article summary and Title must be provided" there was not a place to post those items when I clicked post.

Now there is a blinking strobe indicating that the site is trying to bring something up (probably the Short article summary and Title) — that strobe has been blinking for some 10 minutes now. and then it also wiped out the categories I had posted so I had to start over with that.

So from my perspective the new way of posting news articles is not working. I pray this gets fixed soon.

Jayabee I just tested it and it appeared to be working for me. There may have been a bug that got worked out. What browser were you using? that may have something to do with it.

IE 7

EDIT: Must have something to do with the browser as I tried again a day later and it did the same thing I described above. I am on a shared computer in a apt complex and I don't have admin priveleges to change the settings. When I get to Milwaukee and on Suzy's computer I will check to see what happens then.
