It's our fourth week and everyone is pumped. I love it!!! There were 300 views so that means more people are at least curious. It's easy, doesn't matter how much or little you do, come on in. Exercise is the theme. Being healthy. Be supportive and show some love to your fellow DC family member. If you walk, run, bend or take a few trips to the mailbox, come on in and pull up a "reply". You'll be glad you did. :D

Saw my Master Trainer Eugene Sunday. Good strength work out & weights. Bench pressed 40 lbs, 10 reps. Had a seminar at church last night, no exercise. : ( Making every other day exercise, someday up to at least 5 days a week then 7 days, most weeks. Hope to do Body Pump tonight. Plan to sign up for my New City's 1st Year Celebration, Annual 5K Walk, Jog, Run, go Jurupa Valley, CA, on June 30th, 2012. I have been walking/jogging in the Step Out & STOP Diabetes Walk in October in Riverside for the past few years. Saw a sign up for a 10 K in 2013, thinking about training for that.

Saw my Master Trainer for an hour today, good strength training. benched 40lbs, 10 reps. Blood glucose had spiked to 200 b4, half a muffin, but work out & water down to 121 after. : )

I had to be at work early Tues., so I didn't get my normal walk in, but the other workdays were 2 3/4 miles each. Yesterday I rode my bike for the 1st time in about a year-I found muscles I had forgotten about!!

I had a no exercise month in April. so on May 1st into the gym I dove. Increasing # of days and time & amount of weights.by the 3rd week of May I was going to the gym 4 times that week to classes like Spinning, Turbo Kick Boxing and Body Pump. I also had a really hard work week that same week. So no surprise I came down with a bad cold, 1st 2 days a low grade fever. I suffered bad with the cold so didn't go to the gym for a week. The next week I started with short 15 walks, and a light strength training from my trainer. By Wed. I was back in Spin Class for half the class and that was the day after donating a pint of blood. Next Day my first Boot Camp in many, many months. Nothing Friday or today. Had wanted to at least do a light work out today. See my trainer tomorrow. Cold finally almost gone. trying to build consistency, even if it's only a 15 min. walk.

Hello everyone, whew am pooped. I have been able to exercise every day except for today. We are getting ready for a real vacation, leave on Sunday so I may be out of touch! I am taking my walking shoes, and will try to incorporate short walk, even if it's around the place we will be staying at! Good luck to all and best wishes!

Thank you everyone! I am just not sure what is going on with my back. Our GS who is 18months old and weighs 34lbs. just visited and I think that is what is wrong with my back. LOL! I do have degenerative disc disease and was always bothered by my lower back but this is up higher and just misery when it flares. I hate to see the doc…you all know the xray, the MRI, the physical therapy, can you see I have been there…done that? So, just seeing if time and distance will make it better if not I will have to do all of the above at some point. No walk today either :-(

Ran intervals on the treadmill this am and yesterday. Hit the upper body machines this am (lower body machines yesterday); and in and out in less than an hour. Just got my A1c back at 5.9. Lower than I aim for—looking for 6's. Weight at 204, still trying to get to 200 (was 220 couple years ago). But I'll take it.

No formal exercise today, had to go to my grandson's kindergarten graduation program this morning! ;-)

I'm exhausted…been working more hours than usual trying to not leave too much work for everyone else the rest of the month. Surgery is this Friday on my shoulder. Anyway…I did manage to get in 25 deep knee bends today!

I must be a glutton for punishment. I always have enjoyed a physical challenge. I race against myself and hate to come in second. I like seeing the results exercise brings..No pain no gain.

So I went for my afternoon walk and it didn't seem like enough coming up to the end. I took a detour and viola!…1 hour had passed. Helps that it wasn't raining.

GOD HAS A SENSE OF HUMOR. I promised out loud that I would go walking. I wake up to rain, hard core rain at 5. I proclaim, "its raining" 6 still raining, 7 still raining. So at 8 I say in a smug voice, I'm not going out in that mess and rolled over. 30 mins later the rain stops, dry as a bone. Yes I walked my 1.5 miles and the minute I got back home…the rain came tumbling down, LOL. Moral of the story..never proclaim what you don't intend on doing, God will teach yah, lol.

I know the feeling Young. I feel that you are a religious person as I am. When I have those days, I put on my gospel music like Fred Hammond or Hezekiah Walker and I dance. I work on my exercise and my soul at the same time. Try it and tell me what you think.

Mine has been very practical for the last few days. Feels different than my usual 3 mile walk.
Saturday: used the treadmill for 3 mies — too hot to go outside today.
Sunday: planted part of my garden and cut/hauled bouganvillea trimmings (ouch)
Monday: cleaned the lanai and refilled all my hanging planters with flowers
Tuesday: cleaned house, watered all those plants, and took husband out for a wheelchair ride to feed the ducks and geese (this is aerobic — he and the chair weigh 250 pounds and I jog while pushing it (he enjoys "speed").

Didn't really feel like it after another 12 hr day, but still managed to get my two miles in on the tread mill. Glad I didn't listen to that little voice telling me to be lazy.
