Migraines are the worst. Thank goodness I have not had one for quite awhile. I also used to get headaches, almost on a daily basis, and used to pop Advil like it was going out of style. When I was first diagnosed in 2010, I was told to avoid Advil due to the other meds I was put on. Now I don't know if it was that I started taking better care of myself with diet etc or stopping Advil, but I realized that my headaches pretty much stopped.
Lately, I have not been as diligent with following my diet plan as I should and have begun to get minor headaches again. I no longer have any Advil, so when I got a headache at work there was nothing to take. I realized I had a bottle of lavender essential oil in my purse and remembered reading that putting a drop or two on your temples would alleviate a headache. I honestly thought it was hooey but figured what the heck. After placing a drop or two on my temples, I thought the overwhelming scent would make me throw up…but it did not. After about 5 minutes I realized that my headache was gone!!
I would have thought that maybe it was just a coincidence but when I got another headache and used the lavender oil, it worked just as well.
Now I do not know if it would have the same affect with a migraine, but maybe it is worth a shot. Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you, I am doing much better today. I hate those nagging headaches like that. It could have been from high blood pressure to. Thank God I am better.

Yes, I'm glad to hear that.

I forgot to tell you, when my husband gets headaches like that, he firmly massages the fleshy part of his hand between his thumb and pointer finger. Depending upon the extent of the pain it does work. Hopefully this doesn't happen again any time soon, but if it does, maybe give it a try.
