I guessed right on all of them.

Yep you're right pixi most of what is offered by the MDs is to cover up symptoms as opposed to "cure" it. I am taklng the Benfotamine (synthetic B1) R-Alpha Lipolic Acid and Biotin. That seems to cut the pain a bit, but does not do away with it — at least yet.

I got an 8. Guessed wrong on the first two. It seems like most things offered are to treat the symptoms vs a cure Of course we all want a cure!
Good shoes for our precious feet are also so important!

I missed the first question. Unfortunately, I knew nothing about the subject until I developed neuropathy. I hope that many others here take a look at the "quiz".

Fortunately, I have found help with Lyrica, and Nucynta-ER. More recently I had a nerve block. I also take benfothiamine (fat soluble B-1). I still have to resort to pain medication at times in the evening.

The point of all of this is to pay close attention to how you feel and do as much as you can to monitor your health. There is a presumption that people with diabetes develop neuropathy following uncontrolled BG. My A1C's for the past two years have been 5.3 or better…so the condition is far more complicated than one standard conclusion.

Please see your healthcare provider right away if you are experiencing any of the symptoms discussed in this quiz.
