I had my first shot yesterday at doctor's office. Next Wednesday, I will take my second. I've been on Byetta 5 pen for four years but my A1C was climbing so trying this and pray it will work. Very convenient, not painful, no side effects but very costly! Anywhere from $330 to $480 per month and that's a lot of money! Would like to know others experience with this med. The shot seems to have so many steps to it. I hope I get this right!

I have been on Byetta 10 for about 4 years. I take it before breakfast and before dinner, eating no less than 1/2 hour later. I am doing pretty well when I keep my diet in control. As for the cost, I have no prescription insurance, so, by qualifying incomewise, I get my Byetta free from the drug company.
What kind of shot are you getting from your dr? What do you mean by "steps" in the shot?? Maybe I can help if you have questions.
