I've had the Medtronic Mini Med for almost two months now. I've been trying to install so I can upload info from my pump…no luck :( Has anyone else encountered this problem? I'm using Windows 7 and have updated Java. Just curious…thanks

I have been using the Minimed pump for 4 years now and Carelink is a wonderful "toy' I play with. Every month I upload my pump into Carelink and check the patterns I have, whether my sugars are staying up or how much they go low. It is a great devise for we diabetics. I didn't have any problem with mine. I did however use only the USB. I tried the disc and it didn't work at all. Are you using the disc or the USB?

My instructions said not to use the USB until the drivers were installed (I'm assuming from the disc). I think the info would be a great tool so one way or another I'm going to get it to work. If i can deal with being a T1 for 34+ years I'm not going to let a "technology snafu" stop me :) Thanks

Ok. I am looking at the material I received from Medtronic and these are the instructions: 1)go to 2) from the Welcome screen, click the Sign Up Now button. 3) After you have accepted the terms of the agreement, you'll be asked to create a username and password. 4)Enter your personal information in all the required fields and click Submit at the bottom of the form. Once you are registeredd you can log in from the Welcome screen. When you are in just do what the screen tells you and DO NOT put your USB in until the screen tells you to. Try this and let me know if you have any trouble understanding my instructions Ok? By the way, I hear you about having diabetes for 34+ yrs and not letting technology stop you!! I have had it a little longer but feel the same way still. Hugs! ;)

Yesterday I received my sensor and spoke with my "medtronic guru". She told me not to use the disc. I got home late last night and didn't have time to try again but I will this evening and let you know how it goes. Thanks everyone for your advice and support :) Have a GREAT day!!!!

I've been using Carelink since last fall but ran into a problem initially connecting with the Medtronics Carelink site when using my Mozilla Firefox connection. It works fine if I use Internet Explorer. If you still have problems I would contact Medtronics directly and they should be able to help you find what is causing the problem. I find the data from Carelink very helpful…even if my new endo doesn't use it. Good luck!

Thanks Lou! I'm actually going in a few hours to receive training for the sensor and will talk with them then. I "think" my endo wants to see the numbers but even if she doesn't, like you, I think it will be helpful for me. Have a great day!!!
