I just wanted to share a recipe I kind of made up, and it tasted soooo good and didn't spike my blood sugar levels, and satisfied my sweet tooth and hunger at the same time. Here is what I created. Nothing special…just a tip.
I use a large bowl to mix…Take non-fat greek yogurt (1 large container) plain. I add a small bag of berries (blue berries, black berries, raspberries, or strawberries, or a mix of all of them), sweeten with Truvia (about 8 little packets or to taste), add three tablespoons of organic cinnamon, organic vanilla extract (no sugar added) to taste, and finely ground organic flaxseed, usually about 5 tablespoons or so, and one half lemon to squeeze juice into the yogurt (remove seeds first). Put all ingredients in a bowl, mix well, and put back in container if you like. Then stick the container back in the fridge overnight so the taste of the berries incorporates itself into the yogurt and thaw if you used frozen. It makes a nice large portion, and i eat a few tablespoons of it here and there when I get a craving. Not only does it make a great desert, the yogurt is great for your tummy, and the whole thing is fat and virtually sugar free. I have tested myself after eating this several times, and had minimal normal spike. Enjoy!! Im trying to freeze it as well to see what the consistency looks like. :)
