I have been identified as a diabete, and will start taking insulin on the 25 of May 2012. I appresiate all the help I have recieved from several members. I am looking for a document if there is one that will allow me to keep track of my meals each day and the time I had my B/G test.
If there such an iteml please reply to this discussion.

I had been on insulin also to manage my Blood Glucose (BG) levels and I was still type 2. That is until I discovered accidentally that my pancreas was producing enough insulin to manage my BG levels if I ate very carefully.

Going on insulin did not make me a type 1. I was started on Metformin, and was switched to insulin due to kidney issues in Nov 2006.

Bluegill's health interests say he is a type 2. Going on Insulin does NOT mean one has become a type 1. It just means that as a type 2 his Dr thinks the insulin may give him better control over his Blood Glucose (BG) levels.

I was diagnosed two years ago this past February, and I was given Metformin. I think that I am trying to get off the Metformin. I have been losing weight. I joined TOPS and have lost 22 pounds so far this year.

Hope you have a very good weekend and week!

I use "glucosebuddy" on my iPhone . I track my B/G on it and there are sections under each entry for any kind of comment. I enter my time of meal ND what I ate. Also use these to track exercise(type and duration), blood pressure, mood etc . It has a section for Meds on another page ( I don't use it as I'm not on insulin) . I don't know if it is online or not.

I use them too. They do have a website that you can enter the same info into as you can with the phone. The phone app and the website will sync with each other also. Yoiu can print reports from the website to give to your doctor from the website as well.
