Saw this post at DiabetesMine today, and thought it'd be a great discussion-starter here on DiabeticConnect.

Any thoughts, from your own perspective or even from your significant other that might be worth sharing as far as emotional issues, challenges you face?

Thanks so much for sharing this. I have been a diabetic for a very long time, childhood and my husband has been with me since I was 15. This has allowed him to go through the up and downs with me and to learn to spot the clues on how I'm doing. It is great to have someone who undertands and is supportive and my kids are too. I don't know how I would cope with all that I have gone through without the support, wouldn't want to do it alone:)

Thanks for that! My wife and I have been together (dating, at least) since our final year of college. It was never a big deal for her, and she's also seen all the ups and downs. Some of te worst happen at night, but my CGM more recently has helped curb those situations. Like you and so many others, I couldn't do this alone and so appreciate my beloved Type 3!
