Hi, I'm new to this forum. I have been type 2 for 20 yrs taking 500mg of metformin twice a day. Great control with HbA1c"s running 6.1 to 6.3. 2 yrs ago I had a kidney stone attack and now Dr took me off of metformin. I've tried Januvia alone, Januvia with Glycobride and got horrible lows, now Januvia and Prandin. Numbers are totallay inconsistent. Easting the same diet, numbers are all over the map.

Thinking of Byetta or Victoza but was told Victoza is not good. Please help! suggestions are welcome.

Hello MrChirpy. I was only on Met for a short while and don't know anything about the other meds in question but wanted to make a suggestion anyways.

Maybe you could speak with your doctor or nutritionist and ask if the time you take your meds or your diet is somehow interfering with the how your meds are being absorbed. Even though you've figured out a meal plan that works for you, it may not be compatible with the new med combo. Just a thought.
