Hubby and I finally had the same day off yesterday. We spent about 3 hours across the street at the cemetary photographing bees and locating my Grandmother and Great Grandfather's graves. Then we decided to splurge and eat out. I checked my BG just before heading into Tokyo Joes for supper. What?!? My meter said High ketone 383. Oh yeah, I hadnt washed my hands after chasing bees through the honeysuckle bushes. Next test was 107.

Wow who would have thunk?
I had no idea that would do this!
What a great story, thanks for sharing
As kids we would pull the stems off of honey suckle flowers
and suck the ends to get the sweet syrup out

My favorite nectar is from Columbines. But Honeysuckles come in as a close 2nd.
I just wonder how much nectar could be absorbed through the skin. Imagine soaking in a nectar infused bath tub. A slight variation of Cleopatra's honey and milk beauty baths.

Gotta remember to wash the sweet stuff off your fingers before you poke 'em. I do that occasionally too!
