If you're like me, losing weight is weighing heavily on your mind as the days of summer grow nearer. My goal of fitting into my favorite sundress is looking more and more unlikely but I'm not giving up hope, just rethinking my options of how I can make this happen. One being biting the bullet and trying a diet plan again. While others have had great success on diets, I've always tried, failed and ended up gaining in the end. Not trying to go there again but am keeping my options open at this point.
The other day, I came across this article on dangerous diets. Now I've heard of some wacky diet (some of which are listed here), but there are a few on this list that had me scratching my head and asking, "Why would you do that?".
"Atkins, South Beach, The Zone. No matter what the name, there are certain diets that everyone knows and recognizes. Some people love them, others hate them, but most have a proven plan of success that isn’t threatening to your health. (even if you disagree with the strategy) A real diet is one that is sustainable and easy to maintain within your lifestyle preferences. And then there are those other diets. Call them fads or quick fixes, but they are the last thing your body needs. Here are 11 of the worst diets ever created and their over-the-top approaches to help you lose weight."
