Does anybody have a day, no matter what type level of DB you have, where they say BS ( doesn't stand for blood sugar ) no exercise, eat what I want and no or cut back on meds? I do and it is Fridays. How do you feel the next morning?

Can't as I have to take insulins which requires managing. I would love to have a day off and just eat what I want and not have to take meds or check bg.

Once in a blue moon, by the next morning I'm ok. I do my best to avoid this behavior, but I must admit to falling short.

I try to avoid it also but when you have 5 people living in the house who order or eat these foods it is a little hard. I think I just do not want to forget what it tast like so I indulge. I can't tell them to stop, maybe I don't want to, so I enjoy.

I guess people with type 1 & 2 should be carefull about not taking their meds. I would do the same but you just miss the things you ate before getting this condition and crave for a little taste.

I have days like that on occasion, except I always take my meds regardless. It's not a set day every week but it does happen. I usually feel fine about it the next day because it was a conscious decision that I made, prepared to deal with the consequences. However, depending upon how much I let go, I may spend the morning getting my levels back on track.

Well I watch the portions I pig out on so the 4 slices of pepperoni pizza up my glucose 30 points. Can't do that too often.

Oh yeah - don't cut down on meds, but I do have those days when I just don't feel like exercising or watching my diet. Alas, those "next day" blues usually strike, when I see the numbers on my little meter accusing me!

Same here when I see the nrs the next morning. I only skip the meds on occasion or when I forget. My glucose reading is fine if I miss the met. but up 30 points after eating 4 slices of pizza.

Funny you mentioned pizza - we had a yummy one last night, but this morning my numbers are about 30 ponts higher too! Sigh…back to chicken and salad for tonight :)

Just finished a tomato, onion with ranch dressing. Have to stay on the diet and exercise program. Getting a blood test on Friday then a doctor's visit in May. I think I'll try a American Hoagie with the works (onions, pickles, hot peppers with mayo) Fri. night after the test.
