pain in heel

what do it mean when you have alot of pain in the heel of your foot and hurt real bad when you stand up on it.

It could also be plantar fascitiiis (sp?) I am just now about recovered from having this and the pain can sometimes be unbelievable. It seems as though it was the worst first thing in the morning while getting out of bed and trying to stand up. If that is what you are experiencing, what worked for me was exercising this area by standing on a stair with your heel overhanging. Then you want to stretch up and down (hold onto the railing so you don't tumble down the stairs, lol!) I think there might also be some type of inserts to place in your shoes that may help. I did not try that. Good luck and keep up informed.

thanks i hope that is nothing bad someone told me that it my because i'm a diabetic that i was not getting blood to it

Howdy Wanda.

I have foot pain due to "burning" neuropathy from my diabetes. It is possible that it could be what you have (I have heard of someone else having something like that).

However it is more likely one of the problems listed in the Livestrong article found here ~

I pray this is helpful to you. I suggest you might want to see a podiatrist about your foot pain problem.
