Have you ever really gotten to know yourself?

When we look upon ourselves in a mirror, we see ourselves as "we" would like to see ourselves, for better or for worse.

But what about what's going on beneath the surface deep inside of you?

How about a personal assessment of your physical health and mental well being?
When was the last time that you conducted an "honest" assessment of yourself?

There is nothing to be afraid of, and much to be discovered about one's self, it's a step towards better physical, mental and emotional health for you.

Self awareness can be a beautiful thing, it helps us to see what others see and experience when they interact with us, after all "we" can be blind sometimes when it comes to knowing ourselves!

Here are a few links to some "Health Assessment Tests" that may help you, get to know yourself.

This is not a replacement for any doctor or medical professional, it can be (and should be) used in conjuction with your medical team in catering a plan for your improved overall health, (physical, social and otherwise) if you deem it necessary.

Last, but not least, a "Sexual Personality Test":

Have a little fun getting to know yourself, (I surely did!), after all "you" do have to live with "yourself!"

I ought to know myself by now after 8 0 some odd years. I know that sitting meditating gives you a chance to get to know oneself and old,age does this too. As I have heard it said ,to bad wisdom. Is not bestowed on our youth instead of giving it to the old who have made all their mistkes and learned from it.

Heck, I can tell you my biggest issue, that has been one from day one: Exercising. I do it for a bit then I go for weeks on end and never even give a second thought. Despite my doctor and numerous others telling me that even a 10lb weight loss would do my condition some good. Can't seem to wrap my mind around that though.

I've taken up walking, have numerous work-out dvds for different lengths of time, I even had my youngest twin working out with me for a bit. But when she decided to start going to a gym, that was my limit. For some reason the thought of working out in front of strangers is uncomfortable.

So, I guess that's my thing. Of course, if I look deeper, I'm sure I'll find other stuff.

I saw this yesterday, but didn't have time to take the tests, so now I am doing that. They are very revealing. In odd ways some of them. At least my hip to waist ratio is good. LOL!

I have always loved realage and posted a discussion on it before. http://www.diabeticconnect.com/discussions/569-do-you-know-your-real-age
There are a lot of new questions in there. Bummer my real age is catching up to my calender age. I only act 2.5 years younger than I am...I need to work on that.

The discovery health ones I will have to do later. Those are very long.

And as for the last one there...well, I will keep that info to myself. LOL

Love the comments of "Real age catching up with Calender age" and the final one "And as for the last one there…well, I will keep that info to myself. LOL"
they are both, in a word, "Priceless!"…~Mays~
