I'm a type 1 diabetic , but I'm in very good shape I workout every day , but I'm having trouble with carb counting and meal planning , can anyone give me advice ? I would very well appreciate it

Hi Me! I use two different sites/apps for my counting and meal planning. First, I use an app called Pepper Plate for my meal planning. It's available for both iPhone and Android OS. It's used in tandum with your PC. From the website, you can import recipes from other sites into your account. Then you can make weekly plans and shopping lists. With the free app, you have access on your smartphone to your recipes, meal plans and shopping lists. For my counting, I use My Fitness Pal, both the website and free iPhone app. It will count calories, carbs, fat, sodium, etc… for you through it's food database. You can keep track of what you're eating. I use it mainly for calorie counting since I'm trying to lose weight, but you can certainly use it to record and track carbs as well as calories. I also carry a copy of The Calorie King's Carb Counting book with me to look up foods that are not already in the MFP database. The book is available at Walmart or B&N for about $8.
