Hi Everyone, if you happen to have Humana with your Medicare I wanted to mention something in case you did not know about it. Being fairly new on Humana I am still learning what it has to offer me and got lucky because I have a great Nurse through Humana who calls me on a monthly basis just to say hi and check on me and tell me about new things.

Last month she had a new meter sent to me with great big numbers on it and if I need strips they will ship them out monthly to me. Today I received an envelope with info on Silver Sneakers which is free through Humana and offers gyms etc. as well as a food plan that will deliver 30 meals a month to you that are for Diabetic plans…FREE… all you need is your Dr to sign and fax the form to them. Many of us are on fixed incomes so not only is this healthy but helps with the budget. I am going to try it…sure is cheaper than Nutrisystem. I will let you know how the food is LOL. Anyway, I am very excited about the info and options of Humana so far. PS I don't work for them or anything, they just treat me well and are easy to deal with. As a diabetic you are covered on the first of the following month you join. Hugs to all…

I might have to switch to Humana! It sounds a lot better than what I have and has some of the same things I already have such as Silver Sneakers.

I am on Humana medicare Advantage myself. Some of the stuff I knew about (like silver sneakers and the gyms) But did not know about the meal plan.

30 meals per month, free? That sounds too good to be true.

They seem easy to deal with so far.

They sent me the form…originally I thought it was 25 a week…something I read in the pile of info when I originally joined Humana. This states "at NO cost to you". If I find out differently I will let you know.
