I am not familiar with either meter so can not offer help there. If you have questions regarding the new meter such as with the memory etc, you can take it with you back to CVS and I am quite sure that one of the pharmacists could help with any concerns regarding the machine.

As to the one touch mini test strips…At one time I was a member of a "Freecycle" group in my area and someone offered free test strips for the Bayer Contour that I use. Freecylcle is a great organization, you may offer items for free that you no longer need, you may request particular items for free, or just recieve notices of everyone who is offering items. Check on-line, most likely there is one in your area. Or you could also check on Craigslist in the health and beauty section for inexpensive test strips that someone no longer needs. Good Luck!

Have you called the support line for your device? I have found them always to be so helpful when reporting problems and issues. Perhaps there is something they can tell you over the phone if it is a problem with the device itself. Plus, if your issue can't be resolved they should replace it and your strips ASAP. Hoping you get this resolved soon. I personally use the One Touch brand.

I use a True Track I got from Walgreens, Penny. I have had no problems with mine! It might not be a problem with your meter either.

There seems to be something going on with your metabolism which after you ate you are your Blood Glucose (BG) levels are dropping rapidly. That bears looking into.

By getting strips for your meter, I am guessing you mean for your one touch mini. You can get them through American Diabetes ~ for $60.99 plus shipping. But the bad news is that since your insurance won't cover that brand it would be "out of pocket" for you.
