Just wanted to wish the diabetic connect community of friends and family a safe, relaxing & low sugar/low carb holiday.

If you want to get the conversation started.. please post traditions, recipes, stories etc. Holidays where there is typically lots of food can be challenging for a diabetic…

What as a diabetic do you do to make it a great one?

A little late, but we had brisket, along with zucchini, potato salad (not me), and some fresh veggies. It was simple, yet delicious! Colored eggs with my grandkids, took picture of them as they went hunting for them! It was quiet, yet very nice. Thanks and hope you had a great Easter!

We are just grilling Chicken breast, having fresh salad with lettuce, tomato, cucumber and red pepper. No big over eating food day here. We normally do but so manythings have taken place this last year we made it simple this year thank heavens.

When we do big holiday get togethers, I know what I can and can't eat and I make sure that I do not let anyone make me feel like I should be eating more than what I am suppose to or something that I know I am not suppose to eat.

Happy Easter to All!

Happy Easter to the DC family. we're breaking with tradition this year and doing steaks from the grill with the trimmings. grandson got a basket, he's 11, so no extra candy. we do cheat but try for moderation. fortunitly for me most of the candy is stuff i don't like so that makes it easier on me. :)

Have a great and Happy Easter to you and yours on this most Blessed day. Food wise I have portion size meals a little of this and that and NO Candy. (unless its dark chocolate with 90 pct. cocoa)

Wishing the same to you and yours. Haven't officially decided on what I'm going to cook yet (have a couple of options) but will know by the end of the night.

A blessed Easter (Resurrection Day) to you and yours!

I typically go to Easter sunrise service, at which the congregation I attend has a release of helium balloons by congregation members after the service. Then I attend an easter breakfast. I then seek to go to my son's and DIL's place to enjoy the rest of the day with them.
