Digest Diet

I just ordered the Digest Diet book. Has anyone tried it? Really need to lose a few more pounds. Jogging 25-30 mins 3x a week. Trying to stay low carb but pounds not moving.

The "Digest Diet" is a meal plan promoted by the Book publishing arm of Reader's Digest. I have not seen or read of this until you mentioned it here. Perhaps you can get some loss of pounds that way, but I think that you may be disappointed.

You say you are "Trying to stay low carb" Does that mean that you are ACTUALLY acheiving low carb living? Or is that just a goal?

May I suggest a meal plan (I dislike the word "diet") on which which I lost 65 lbs last year, had an A1c of 5.5, normalized my Blood Glucose (BG) readings and did it without resorting to diabetes meds of any kind?

I offer this meal plan without charge to you whatsoever. It does take some discipline as the menu in certain respects is rather radical, but it is do-able. I was able to discontinue the use of insulin by doing this (at that time) experemental plan. No matter what way you decide to go I pray success on your efforts to lose the weight.

Another thing just occurred to me, if you are having problems budging the scale it may be that you are gaining muscle while losing weight. Muscle weighs more than fat inch by inch. Sometimes the first way to tell if you are really losing fat is by how your clothes are fitting. That was how I first knew I was losing fat: My clothes got looser on me. In fact I needed to buy a new wardrobe as my pants would fall to my ankles without being held up by a belt. (embarassing at the airport security checkpoint !)
