I haven't been on in awhile having a lot of stuff to deal with. But for those who want to know I am good. I now have an Endo doc who is awesome! In Feb I had a bad eye exam with some "pools" in my eyes and since then(totally scared the crap outta me) and seeing a gastric surgeon I have only had 1 sugar above 200. My sugars normally do not run over 125…which is completely diff from before. I have very little stress as I no longer have to stress and worry daily about money and how to pay everything. So things are better and my sugars are awesome…my A1C sucks but in time…

ok so today was HORRIBLE!!! I knew I had diabetic retinopthy…was told a couple weeks agi i had two small pools in my left eye and some spots in my right. Doc said well this should not effect your vision but he did not dialate my eyes…so then a day or two later I had a ""kinky hair" across my eye…today while at work I had a full blown eye hemmorage which blocks most of my eye!!!!! It happened with no warning…well now that I think about it my eyes have felt swollen the last 2 days and have felt sick to my tummy but never imagine this. Got to the doc right away and will prolly have lazer surgery around april 10th or so…pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee this sucks. Please take care of your eyes…watch your sugars. I did not take care of myself for months…trin to work 2 jobs and tryin to find ways to get food and pay house payment…now look where I am…my sugars are great but its a little late…

So sorry that this is happening to you. Thank you for letting us know. And for those necessary words of warning. You're in my prayers.

So sorry to hear you have struggled so much on your own. You know we are here to help you through, even if just with words of encouragement. I am glad to hear that you are doing well and look forward to hearing how you did make those changes to get your levels back in a good range. We all need to hear how you do those things because we will need it one day too.

I freaked out in Feb when they used the terms pools to describe the diabetic retinopthy…then a couple days later I had an appt for the Sleve gastrectomy. The gastric surgeon wont touch me till I loose some weight and get my A1C from a 10.8 to an 8 or below. So those 2 appt make me be ahhh for lack of a better word anal about my sugars. I weigh everything and eat better. I eat nuts fruit and veges daily. But today had a set back but my sugars are still good. I try to run them between 80 and 130 all day long but have a few in the 140s and 150s but still good compared to where they were.

Welcome back. Happy that your health concerns are finally being dealt with. Keep up the good work with you BG's and that A1c will come down in no time.
