When do you buy diabetic shoes? Which brand is popular? Please tell me why, where, and what for?

Here are some discussion about this quandary.
Getting well fitting shoes is very important but they don't "have" to be diabetic shoes. They tend to be very expensive and less than fashionable. But if your feet are giving you trouble, I would recommend going to a podiatrist and getting their input as well.

I have shoes for diabetes from a store called "foot smart" I don't remember what brand of shoe they are.

If you are on medicare, there are requirements you have to meet if you want medicare to pay for them see here ~

But you don't have to buy shoes which are labeled "diabetic shoes" (generally they're more expensive)

Go to the discussions link on the left, and click it (open in another window or tab) and then type in "diabetic shoes" in the search box on the right. You'll get a list of discussions which have that term in the title or the Original posting. Check those out too.
