with the cost of medicine skyrocketing, does anyone become concerned whether or not we can afford our med? mine is 156 dollars a bottle without insurance! Novolog! let alone supplies for the pump!

My school district is about to reorganize our insurance coverage. 12,000 a year cap for a family. my supplies and medicine alone would probably eat up most of this. leaving nothing for the children.

12,000 a year cap for a family? That sounds crazy! Insurance can actually cost about that much, so it doesn't make sense that it only pays that much. It wouldn't make a dent in a catastrophic illness! Could that be a cap on your out-of-pocket expenditures rather than a cap on what insurance will pay? Or is it the cap on what they will pay for meds alone - and yes, it's too little.
