I did low carb diet years ago and lost over 60 pounds. I was never a coffee drinker till then. I had a craving one night and made a pot of coffee instead of indulging in a sweet tooth fit. The coffee did the trick. As a newly diagnosed type 2, I'm back on the coffee. I use a little splenda with nothing else and helps me through. I'm on a 6 to 7 meal plan per day and have a harder time at home trying not to constantly snack. Again, the coffee pulls me through.
