That's great to here Kate, so if a mother is diabetic, what are the chances of her baby having it? My mother was a diabetic, but as far as I know my sister doesn't have it or her kids and grandkids doesn't have it. My mother and I are the only 2 in the whole family that's diabetic.

Thanks, Kate, for the heads up. I hope you or Jeanette will let us know when the baby arrives!

my firstborn, PD , born to a mother with gestational diabetes, was born more than 9 lbs. That was big enough for her! Any more and he would have had to be taken by c-section!

So true, my sister is T1 and all her babies were over 10 pounds. So hard on her. I felt sorry for myself when my baby was over 8 pounds, I can't imagine 10. She's a trooper.

Heck your sister is the trouper for not letting that first 10+ pound baby deter her from getting pregnant again! lol

i suspect that when she was getting pregnant again the 10 lb baby was not foremost on her mind, LoL!

Wow! Someone was eating her spinach! Here I thought my son a little over 8 was big. Glad to hear they're both doing well.
