Why can't I have my extra day
in a less windy month?
Can I just be off by a day
until the sun gives more warmth?
When I'm shed of my hat, coat and glove
Basking in Spring's sunshiney glow?
Instead I'll be bundled from my head to my toes.
People laughing at my nose's red glow.

I repent my recent lament
Fickle nature eschewed icy blow
Bestowed her smile — sunglow
No frost bit toes, nor Winter rose nose
Marred the warm charm of Leap Day
Spare time to savor, wonder and play
I wandered, sauntered and squandered.

Cute poem ditty
I would put "basking in springs sunshine from above"
and
People laughing at a red nose that glows
so you get the rhyming and do not repeat the word glow twice

LOL!! Gripe all you want. Leap year babies are rob of their special day at a three year split. And then forced to celebrate on the day before or the day after. Not fair at all!!

My father's father whom was born in 1880 would have turned 32 today, he was 7.3 when my dad was born and 16.2 when I was born
Your birth date is almost as bad as my sister-in-laws Dec,26, then young Toms is a week before Christmas, you guys get cheated out of big birthday celebrations due to being so close to Christmas.
