Hello Everybody, I have neuropathy in my feet and it is slowly getting worse I was just wondering if anybody has a home remedy to help ease the pain. The pills that I take for it just don't seem to be working for me and I am in a lot of pain.

Niacin seems to have worked best for me. After starting to take that and adding a good multi vitamin I have had my neuropathy pretty much reverse itself. It took a few months, but it doesn't seem to be coming back.

Sorry Narelle you're going through that! I have the burning neuropathy too and it sometimes makes my life —- well, less than it could be. And the gabapentin/neurontin didn't do squat for me either.

I have been doing a couple of things #1 I keep my Blood Glucose (BG) levels close to "normal" as I can. Then I take 3 supplements: Alpha Lipolic Acid, Biotin (to support the ALA) and Benfotamane (sp?) a synthetic B1 vitamin. The ALA and the Benfotamane are supposed to help with the Neuropathy. I also take a anti depressant, Nortryptelene, but that seems not to be doing much for the neuro. pain. After I tried the ALA and the Benfotamane I have noted a lessening (but not elimination) of the pain.

The sooner you get your BGs under control and start on the ALA and Benfo, you may also note a lessening of the pain, working toward its elimination.

Blessings to you and yours

It's not a quick remedy, but I've found alphalypoic acid and biotin to be helpful; also B1, B6, B12 in combo.

I never go barefoot except the shower. I wear real shoes instead of slippers because I need support. I buy shoes with arch supports that are really there not just a different color pretending to be an arch. In the winter I bought fleece lined Merrell shoes for slippers. I am wearing a pair of crocs with gel inserts in them right this minute. I will sit on the computer and put my stocking feet on ice packs. Takes the pain right out. Watch your glucose levels as they affect your neuropathy. I take gabapentin for the pain too. It helps. Hope you feel better. My pain did subside with all of this
