Here is something that is close to my heart but Off Topic perhaps. Let me know what you think ok? Be honest. Thank you Wanishi Wado

Short story on CHICKEN HAWK:

Guy says to his ex: Yo babe you should try this stuff (referring to drugs)

Ex says to the Guy: No its not for me

Guy says: It would make you relax, get rid of stress, and be happier

Ex replies: Yes maybe but it would make me forget important things like commitment, priorities and responsibilities that I have made and promised

Guy says: You are a CHICKEN HAWK snicker snort

Ex replies: Maybe so but at least I will have a Life!

Question is: Is it worth it to be a CHICKEN HAWK?

IMO I believe it is. This term Chicken Hawk refers to the bird not anything else by the way.

Don't give this guy the dignity of notice by repeating the things he says.
Don't write it, dwell on it or think of it
Put him and the thoughts out of his idiocy far from you every chance you get.
You know you have our confirmation!

In my youth chicken hawk meant an older guy going after young girls. Lately I've heard it used to refer to those who want to send others to war but don't themselves serve.

I realized that when researching up the definition and to get a picture of a Chicken Hawk. That is why I stated above about it referring to the bird and nothing else. As for the second part of those who want to send others to war but dont serve themselves I just think of them as lily livered yellow bellied chickens. My family has served in the Military for years. I was born and raised Military. My oldest son and then my daughter were both in the military. The oldest son still is. So thus I cant stand those who are the latter part. Just my opinion not meant to offend.
But this post refers to illicit drugs aka bath salts and how this is similar to Whitney Houston and her addictions. Sad to say, I am not made that way. Hence I am a Chicken Hawk of that nature.

You'll never be a chicken hawk to me. In my family I was the only one to serve in the military. You must be very proud of your children.

Yes I am Thank You! I have chosen a path that deviates from most of the people in this town including those on prescribed meds. Yet that is me. Your family must of been proud of you for serving. If they weren't I am! Hugs

And is this vignette you post in the original posting autoboigraphical? (If too painful ignore this question, please)

Quite frankly Temi, you lost me. I cannot make heads nor tailfeathers out of this. Maybe I am taking this too literally.

I have heard this term "chicken hawk" used of older gay men who like to prey on younger gay men sexually. But I doubt this is the intended meaning.

The CHICKEN HAWK soars the skis floating proudly on the different wind currents along with the EAGLES.

old saying: You can't soar with the eagles when you're being held down by the turkeys.

Rotflmao omgosh that is so funny! Yeah but I got my 12 gauge shot gun full of buck shot for them turkeys! LOL :) Hugs

I like to eat turkey but don't care for picking buckshot out of them. (we used to eat ringneck pheasants which we hunted when I was a boy, so I know about picking out the lead pellets out)

You must always be true to yourself. You are not a chicken hawk, you are someone who deals with life head on…not with an artificial boost of an illegal substance to get thru your day! That is ideal in my opinion. I believe substances like bath salts lead to different experimentation's and lethal consequences. No thanks!

I hope this isn't what happens, but, Temi, you can only care for yourself and do what you know creator wants for you and hope (and pray) that he learns to do the same for himself. It's saddening for you, but only he can choose his path through life.
