Does any body else feel like they have so many medical problems that they feel a little like a hypocondreac when you start talking about your issues? I leave some things out sometimes, just because it feels akward. Who wants to have medical issues? I sure don't.

I have a problem telling people all of my health issues. I did not want nor need any of this,I prefer to be completely healthy. But that is not the hand I was dealt and I will have to play the ones I was dealt. I am not ashamed of my health problems ,I just don't think it is necesary to tell all.

I feel the same way. I sure did'nt want this. I have no other choice but to keep on keeping on. And take the best care of myself as I can. I guess people can just think what they want to. I don't want what I have, but I do have it.

I know exactly what you mean. I know a couple of people with the problem of trying to play the oh pitiful me card. So annoying. I did'nt ask for what I have just trying to do my best and live my best with it. Be healthy everyone.

I've never been one to talk to others about my health issues, I just deal with the issues myself and talk to my doctor when I do have a question or a problem.

I also know someone who is truly a hypochondriac. She's as healthy as a horse, yet whines about every little hangnail, sneeze and cough. She's always at the doctor every week and gets angry with the doctor because she's told that there's nothing wrong with her. This is a person who is unmarried, alone and very needy - her constant "health issues" are a way for her to seek attention from her friends and family.

There's a big difference between someone like my friend and many of the folks here, who truly DO have multiple health issues.

I know two hypercondriacs and they drive me nuts. It is hard, because when they do have a real issue, it is hard to tell. So I don't talk about any of my issues with them, because of course, they have it more, worse and bigger! LOL Having a lot of health issues doesn't equate the afore mentioned, but sometimes, it just gets tedious and sharing can quickly turn into a whiny fest. I choose carefully with whom and what I share.

Yes I have found that many people on this site have more problems that just diabetes. Some people have lists and lists of things, and I can see where you would get a little leary about telling some people because they might think your a hypercondriac (sp?). That is a decision that everyone must make for themselves, whether or not they decide to tell people what all the problems they have are.

I feel like I have alot of medical problems but I don't feel like a hypocondreac. I didn't ask for any of then, and I didn't bring them on myself. I will tell any who wants to know about my medical issues. You never know, someone could have the samething, and you can offer advice.
