The Gym

The hardest thing about working out is getting out of bed and going to the gym. I recently joined Gold's Gym, its only been two weeks but people are noticing changes on me. I gave up mindless tv at night and moved my alarm clock from the nightstand to across the room. So I have to get up and turn it off. Monday to Friday I go at 5 am, it's makes the rest of my day so much better.

All it takes is a start!
I remember those gym days very well, the hardest time is the first 3-4 weeks, once the routine sets in and you see (as well as feel) the results you will keep going forward.
Good luck and much success to you!

It's a wonderful thing your doing Raj23, I too have a gym membership. I love to go when it's the least crowded so I can workout at my leisure and speed. I workout at least 3 times a week every other day, and on the day s I don't go to the gym I ride my bike 8 miles on our bike trails. Please keep up the good work, it really makes me feel so good throughout the entire day.

Hey jayabee52, how you doing? I've been in and out just very busy with family stuff, but I do keep all my friends here on DC on my mind constantly. I haven't forgotten who helped me in my nervous time/times of need. I pop in and out a lot, but glad to be back and someone notices I've been gone!! Love that kindness.

So, has she been banned from the kitchen? If not have her get in touch with me, I'll share a few ways to attain that goal.

I do ALL the cooking for our meals at home. I kid her that some ppl will do ANYTHING (including 3rd degree burns needing a skin graft) to get out of cooking!

My pet peeve - memberships can be exspensive. more so if you are on a fixed income like I am. I like working out at a gym, so when the boy's club in my town offered a discount for 4 months, I was on it! Got my son TJ one too, going with a buddy really helps.

I found that for me to get up and go in the morning is a little difficult. I leave for work at 6:30 so I switched my day around and go after work. It's a good time to relieve a lot of the stress from the day. But the big thing is that we go. I know to many friends that started going and then quit after a few visits. For me it doesn't matter how cold it is. I love the cold.

Driving to the gym in 28 degree weather. I see someone running in this weather, what's his motivation.
