We’re so excited to let you know about the Alliance Health ePatient Scholarship program for patients who want to attend the Stanford Medicine X conference in September 2012.
This exciting event will bring together doctors, patients, and experts in technology. The initiative is designed to explore the potential of social media and information technology to, among other things, empower patients to be active participants in their own care.
Dr. Larry Chu, MD, MS, from Stanford University School of Medicine, is the Executive Director of the event and has allocated 10% of the seats at Medicine X to ePatients to ensure that the conference and solutions that come from it are patient-focused.
Alliance Health is proud to have partnered with Stanford University in this incredibly important initiative by donating scholarships for 35 ePatients to attend the conference. Applications will be accepted from February 15 to March 15, 2012.
Please sign up for the Medicine X email list to be notified when scholarship applications become available online, by clicking here: http://bit.ly/xdymh9

(By the way, in case you're not familiar with the term ePatient, it comes from Tom Ferguson who said e-patients are patients who are empowered, engaged, equipped and enabled. Does that sound like you? Then apply! )
