Hello dyhann, please discuss this with your health care professional very soon. Most professionals agree that a BG below 60 is too low. Talking with a dietican may be of use to you too.
Are you a diabetic, type 1, type 2, hypoglycemic? Have you started taking medications? How long have you been on medications? Do you keep a journal of what you eat and how it affects your BG?
As a type 2 I am a bit confused with the little information that you gave us.

Hello Dyhann and welcome to DC. You've left out some key pieces of information that could help us understand your situation a little better. What are your numbers usually like in the morning? What do you normally eat for breakfast? What time do you eat breakfast? And, what are you doing after you eat?

Try testing 30, 45 and 60 minutes after eating and see what your blood sugar is doing. Depending on what your eating your blood sugar could go from 85 to a hundred something or more and back down to 60 something all in less than 2 hours.

I believe we should be eating to our meters. I test after eating at what I figure is my peak blood sugar value after eating. I read most people will peak at about 1 hour after eating so start there. By testing 15-20 times a day I was able to determine that for what I eat my blood sugar will peak at about 1¼ hours after eating breakfast. 25 minutes after eating lunch and about 1 hour after eating dinner. When you peak may be different for you. The times can even change for me depending on what I eat. I used to get reading in the 60’s sometimes. Since I don’t take drugs or insulin I just go ahead and eat my meal or a snack. I don’t consider blood sugar numbers in the 60’s as low. Depending on how you feel they may or may not be low for you. Meters are not all that accurate. Your reading can be off by as much as 20%.
