I haven't seen this discussion here before, at least not recently. I was just wondering if there were any members here who have put themselves through Gerson Therapy, or followed the general treatment plan developed by Dr. Max Gerson? It seems like there are quite a few "reinventions" of this therapy by other Doctors these days in the form of books and DVDs. I'd be curious if anyone has actually tried the treatment and if it actually helped? I know that there is quite a bit of documentation on it successfully treating cancer, but I haven't heard much about its effectiveness against Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes.

I had not heard of the Gerson method before so I Googled it. One of the results may be found here ~ http://www.gerson.org/

That is why I like hanging around DC. I am exposed to a lot more than I could learn on my own.

There are quite a few similar programs as well. Most of them tend to emphasize the vegan diet porion of the method. I just started reading the book The Gerson Therapy recently. It is quite fascinating and informative regarding nutrition and disease. Some of the statistics they cite are real eye openers.
