Went to a Diabetic class last night. I feel so much better and comfortable with everything. The class gave me a lot of important information I am glad I went. Being new to a diabetic life style is frustrating and feels very overwhelming. I know now that I can do this and it might not be easy, but changing the way I live is going to be worth it. My husband went with me (even though he is not Diabetic) and supported me. I am hoping I can get everything under control and keep it there. I want to be pregnant with a healthy baby by next Christmas. :) I am going to continue to think positive and smile even when it gets hard!!!

That's great Meg. Good luck to you. It is good your hubby is supportive. Too many people do not get the support they need from family and friends. For me, I got over being overwhelmed it got much easier. I get frustrated from time to time but it passes and I stay on track with everything I need to do. Good luck to you. Check out a diabetes health fair, they have tons of free stuff and you get to answers to questions that you may have and you meet more diabetics.

Thanks guys for all the nice and supportive words. I appreciate it so much. From eating right to going to the Gym everynight, I already am feeling so much better. I met with a diabetic specialist last night and she changed up my meds a little bit, she says I am on the right track to making a baby. I need my A1C to go down just a tiny bit more and she said she will monitor me and help me get there. She was so positive and gave me so much more hope than what I have.

Happy to hear you went, it helps to understand what you need to do. So proud of your hubby for going as this is a way of life for you and will affect your family. Eating right and exercising will help him and your future children Once you get the hang of it, it won't be so hard. It is just so overwhelming in the beginning.

Looking forward to that new baby news!
