I love finding recipes especially those to help me change up the way I am eating. Yet funny thing is what I found.
The first three URL's I thought oh Yummy since breakfast is my favorite meal of the day:

http://www.delish.com/recipes/cooking-recipes...

http://www.delish.com/recipes/cooking-recipes...

http://www.delish.com/recipes/breakfast-casse...

Please note the website delish dot come ok? Then I went to see what I could find there for diabetic recipes this is what I got:
http://www.delish.com/search/fast_search_reci...

Now this doesnt make any sense does it? To have a recipe website without any diabetic recipes? I know we can change some of them around but omgosh what the heck? This site could be made more useful to all of us not just to the normal people who may or may not be diabetic. What do you think?

Hugs to all

Forgot to add, my mother-in-law got me a diabetoc cookbook and it was very heavy with the pastas and rices… Some people can tolerate that but they spike my b.s. so I can't. I was surprised at how little in the cook book I could actually eat. Disappointing but I guess that reinforces the whole idea that what works for one diabetic will not always work for another. Fickle disease!

I had the same experience. I love cookbooks. I bought 1 "diabetic" one and found it was really useless and pretty tasteless, so went back to creating on my own.

My husband can tell when I am reading a diabetic cookbook by how ofen I say "What are they thinking, that's more carbs in one serving than I can safely have for a meal!!!" He has threatened to hide my library card for fear of my blood pressure going to high.

Go to skinnytaste.com. It is not necessarily diabetic but there are a lot that are or could easily be changed to be d. friendly. he also lists fat, calories, carbs and points if you do weight watchers.

I have to agree. It was automatically set up to take me to diabetic recipes...most of them were pretty scary to me. I am good at adapting, but sometimes I just would like it done already.

Just a quick reply cause I want to get ready for church. The allrecipes.com adds the nutrition for many of the recipes.
