Do you have family traditions in your family? Either Thanksgiving or Christmas.

We have a family tration of making Struffoli and Tordidi(wine cookies). They take all day to make and it's a great time for all the family to get together. We have a marble cutting board that has been handed down from generation to generation. When my grandmother passed away 2 years ago it was passed down to me. These cookies have been made on this cutting board for over 100 years. And hopefully another 100 to come.

Every year I buy my kids, and myself a new ornament, depicting events as they fit to each. It is pretty neat to look back from their birth to their adulthood and remember their animals; their loves; their accomplishments, new home for us; wedding, anniversary; etc

That is a great tradition. My one niece is now starting in a new apartment. I will suggest she start a theme like that. I still look back at ornaments that my dad liked and all the loved ones we lost. But the adiea of animals, themes and sports etc. is great. Thanks…Debe

At the funeral we all were saying no more Stuffoli. Hey wait a minute…what with that? She died we didn't. Got the recipe and it will continue to go on. Thanks again Lynda…Debe

A wonderful tradition!!! I wish my family had something like that left. I was a late baby and most all the older folks are gone, so I better get busy with some new tradition for my family. Of course, I could always come to your house. Those cookies sound wonderful.

That is such a neat tradition. We don't have anything like that, because we are always changing things up. I get bored easily. One thing we do always do is trim our tree for the holidays with an annual ornament that is signifigant for the things that happened during the year. It is really kind of neat to look at the tree and know that many of the ornaments have a meaning behind them.
