I'm a little doubtful, since juicing fruits means lots of vitamins, but it's mostly sugar. If juicing on vegetables, that'd be better but you still might be losing out on certain nutrients.

This is going on at my workplace herbal life is what everyone is doing. I read the nutrition facts at least with this not good for us. As carol said too high in sugar we need our veggies, protein, and small portions of fruit. This may also not be good since some days at my workplace it's herbal life shakes for breakfast and on a Friday it could change to jelly filled donuts!

Besides the juice part you are also depriving your body of the needed proteins to help stablize your sugars, especially if they are Hyper… It may be good for others but not really for a diabetic, but you can also consult your nutritionist if you have one and get some good feedback from that person.

Need great point! Oops I forgot that one. Well balanced meals help us to achieve the nutritents our bodies need.

From my research I have noticed that the actual fruits/veggies are by far better for diabetics than the juices… if you make your own juices then you can control what goes in them, but if not stick with the fruits n veggies which are the best when it comes to sugar content…

I'd agree with the others. Unless you know exactly what's going into it, and that it's going to be the same every time, I'd pass.

Can you tell us more about this juice diet? If it well balanced with the carbs that you need to keep your sugars level and not spike or lower them? If not I would tell my co-workers that their juice diet could kill you because of your diabetes.

Fruit juice is not good for us because of the sugar content. It's a bit like mainlining sugar. Veggies are not as sweet, but you still have the issue of balance: need protein, carbs, fats, etc…not just juice.
