Thanks for sharing Temi. I know that getting enough daily fiber is important but I didn't know how much to shoot for. Since being diagnosed, I've done my best to buy and cook foods that are high in fiber but I wasn't sure if I was getting enough or too much. Looking through my journals I can see that I wasn't getting nearly enough in the beginning but now I'm close to where I should be.

Glad to help…for if I find something another may benefit from then I pass that on. Yet with certain others this is considered "CONTROLLING" whereas I love to help in whatever way I can just tell me and I will do what I can to my best ability!

All you can do is be the kind and caring person that you are, Temi. If it's in your nature to do for others then go right ahead and do that. The people who reject you or your help, are the ones who suffer, not you. Consider it their loss and move on. If they come to you later on down the line and ask for forgiveness or help, then do what's in your heart to do. Whether they like your decision or not.

If that's what you need to do for yourself right now then so be it. Just remember to let your loving spirit shine through you everyday and don't let that wall harden you to the world around you.

in light of this day to come here and add this link

I just finished walking the dogs in their morning walk
and was thinking about how much time
I had on insurance and that I needed to get my cholesterol down

I am guilty of needing more fiber in my meal plan
So I am thinking of what I am going to make this weekend
I have great northern beans soaking for a pot of soup
I am making a turkey breast, with green beans
and mashed cauliflower potatoes
Dessert will be a sugar free pudding
I am eating my whole grain hot cereal (15g carb per cup)
with a couple of scrambled eggs.

Most people do not have to think about what they eat
They just eat and are on the go…
We who juggle our glucose and all the other issues
that pack behind that…have to!
