Vitamin D deficiency is not uncommon among us diabetics. My endo discovered that I needed Vitamin D3 supplements last spring. She advised that sufficient Vitamin D was needed to properly use the insulin we need to manage our diabetes. I've been taking 3000iu of D3 per day. Need to talk to my new endo about testing those levels to see if I need to back off or keep taking that much.
Congrats on the good results!

What wonderful news for you. Now what kind of meds are they putting you on for acid in your blood. Don't you just need to be more alkaline? Can't you do that through diet? Just curious. Things to ask your doctor.

i think it is something bethoizide or something supposed to lower the acid but idk

I try to eat more alkaline foods to keep a better ph in my body. It works pretty much. I was just wondering if that is the same thing. You might want to ask them to see. I know for me, another pill just makes me cringe. I would rather do it through what I eat anyway.

Wow Melanie it sounds like you are on the right track. I try my best to watch my protein intake. I try to keep hard boiled eggs in the frige to eat with a meal when I am not eating meat. Dry beans are a great source of fiber, good carbs and protein. Good luck and God bless,
