Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there;
I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft star-shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there;
I did not die.

I love this. I'm part Cherokee and love Native poetry and art. Where did u find it?

The first time I found it was at Pow Wow. Great place to go and relax. Learn about the heritage and etc. Also make lovely new family members! :) Hope that helps! :)

i thought about this for awhile and i decided to share with you the poem thats very dear and still in my heart… i too have lost a child and he would have been 27 this year…my heart is still broken…

Little Snowdrop

The world may never notice
If a Snowdrop doesn't bloom,
Or even pause to wonder
If the petals fall too soon.

But every life that ever forms,
Or ever comes to be,
Touches the world in some small way
For all eternity.

The little one we long for
Was swiftly here and gone.
But the love that was then planted
Is a light that still shines on.

And though our arms are empty,
Our hearts know what to do.
Every beating of our hearts
Says of our love for you.

I understand that this may be in regards to your recent loss. It is beautiful and things like this get us through those tough times. We are here if you need us. In quiet prayer and in broad shoulders. Our thoughts are with you in your time of loss.

Across miles
the hand of a sister holds yours
in silence
in reverence
in understanding
in grief
feeling your burden
with the heaviest of hearts
